Whoever came out with / coined the term “Filthy Rich” must
have had a naughty thought in mind!
Imagine the feeling of a rich man going
around with the label on his forehead. Not all of them became rich by dirty
means; many rich and successful people are educated and gained wealth by honest
and good ways.
Filthy rich do not apply to ALL rich people! Is being rich a sin? Definitely not!
The Bible mentioned quite a number of rich people with ‘clean
records’ and they loved God. Characters like Abraham, David, Joseph, Lydia to
name a few.
The Bible did not really focus on ‘how much money u have’
but concerns on WHAT u do with it. The thing is, wherever your money goes, your
heart will follow after it.
Matthew 6:21 “Wherever your treasure is, your heart will
also be”.
We can be wealthy and rich (don’t worry) and please God with
the blessing!
1 Peter 4:10 “God has given gifts to each of you… manage
them well so that God’s generosity can flow through you”.
