Any living person with
no ambition can be considered as living aimlessly in this world. By having a
certain ambition, it reflects the degree of one’s strong will and
determination in life. It is essential to have this spirit in our lives, that
is to have aims and purposes.
However, never let or
allow that ambition of ours CONTRADICT with what God had already in store for
us!
For example, if our
ambition and carrier took away all our time from worshipping The Lord then
pray for God to open another door for you! He will answer (Matthew 7).
Let us consider what
Paul had written in Philippians 3:7-8
“ But whatever were gains to me I
now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I
consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ
Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them
garbage, that I may gain Christ”
“Selfish
ambition fades as your ambition to serve God grows”. (One Year Mini, page March).
It is very true indeed. The more we think of God and His blessings, the less
we think of our worldly gains and we enjoyed His blessing in peace and total
freedom.
Let
us invest and focus more on the treasure that will last forever.
Psalm
119:1-2 “Happy are people of integrity, who follow the law of the Lord. Happy
are those who…search for Him with all their hearts.”
