Hey, single people!

Good day, mate!
When looking for a partner (LIFE PARTNER), it is essential to see beyond looks and physical appearance. I know it's rare to get a guy who fulfills all the above requirements but hey, keep praying for one and DO NOT settle for a jerk. I'm being honest/transparent/frank here.

You see, don't ever feel sad or bad when you are still single (for a long length of period of time) and your other friends are hanging out every night with the wrong choice and waste their lives away,NO. Many people fall for this trap of feeling desperate and ended up dating a Frankenstein. God always has something or SOMEONE better for us. Seriously, we don't wanna spend the rest of our future with someone who we thought could have been another person:

"a woman married a man, hoping that he would change; BUT he never changed.....
......a man married a woman hoping that she would not changed, BUT she changed....."

We all hope for the best, we always seek to acquire something better or achieve a greater result but when it comes to relationship we prefer 'changes to stay unchanged'. How is that possible when our human mind and body changes as the time flies?

Would you rather be with that same person whom you said 'i do' to or with the current person who has nothing to convince even your parents about your future? Be sensible, be realistic, be calculative, be SERIOUS when choosing a lifetime partner. That's all i can say for now.

See u guys in the next post~!

Roy, let’s meet with the other guys at our usual 99 Restaurant at 8pm. I’ll pick u up later” Jacob spoke to his long time buddy over the phone.

“Sure, but this time don’t let me pay alone! Haha….” Replied Roy

“Nah, I wouldn’t do that to a good friend would I? Past is past buddy Everything is on me tonight!” came the quick reply.

“Whatever…pick ,me up before 7.30 we don’t wanna be late like last time”

“See u later Roy”

……………………………………………………………………………………………..

“Jim, is Roy ok? He doesn’t seem to be himself today. Something nasty must be bugging his mind” whispered Roland to Jim.

“Not sure, perhaps u should ask Jacob once Roy goes to the toilet, later” Jim suggested.

On the round table the good friends talked and shared their stories over a dinner. Everyone seemed to be excited about their daily routines except for Roy. This made the other turned to him and asked:

“What seems to bother u, friend?”

Roy stared into his glass, blank and tired. Then he gathered himself up and shared his problem.

“Guys, my engagement day is three weeks away. I’m still short of RM1500 for the rings. I really thought that I could pay it tomorrow as promised with the goldsmith but I have miscalculated my budget. Last week alone I helped my brother to get into a college for his first semester. Many things were needed in order to prepare him to get there. Not only that, I’ve missed a month of my car loan payment. Where would I get the amount within this short period of time? I’m not rich like u guys, to be frank….”

There was a silence taking place on what was before a noisy dinner.

“well, u can borrow from us Roy, anytime bro…” Jacob shared his thought.

“I’ve borrowed a lot already…” Roy sighed.

“Well… u can always sell one of your guitars, can’t u..?” Jim took the risk to suggest something that he knew would make Roy histerical.

“Yeah, u have like half a dozen of them Roy” Roland Supported Jim’s idea.

“Letting go one guitar won’t do u any harm, just sell it to my friend. Still remember Dester? He once told me that he is interested with your Fender. Just name your price, I’ll tell him about your problem.” Jacob offered his help.

“Ok, please tell Dester that I’m letting go my favourite customized Fender for RM1500. It comes with a hardcase and an amplifier. Thanks friends, for the solution. I never thought of this before, perhaps I was too worried”. That’s all that Roy could say in gratitude.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

The engagement day came, everyone was there. As the friends were about to give the big toast to Roy, Jacob announced that he wants to give a short speech. And so, everyone turned their attention to Jacob.

“Friends, today we are happy and glad for Roy. This engagement dinner may be the ‘warming up’ before his wedding day, but nevertheless the joy and the spirit of friendship is here tonight. Therefore, as a sign of friendship and an engagement gift… we want Roy to sing for us a song… Jim, get the guitar for Roy”

And there, through the middle of the crowd Jim carried a guitar hardcase, placed it on the tile opened it and took out a shiny Fender Stratocaster. Sure enough, it was Roy’s favourite red guitar. He handed it over to his shocked friend and said;

“Congratulation my friend, this is our gift for u.”

“What do u guys mean? I already sold it to Dester, it’s his now.” Roy was perplexed; dumbfounded may be the correct word.

“Roy, we know how much the guitar meant to u. We also know how much and what u have been through just to be here tonight. We just want u to know that…if it wasn’t because of you and that guitar of yours, we would not have great time together worshipping God in songs. We are thankful to God because He gave you to us, and that God gave you the guitar. Hence, we decided to collect the money among all of our friends and purchased it back for you, plus new strings and some repairs. I know this is awkward, but it is yours now…Now go up there and sing us a song, buddy!” explained Roland.

Roy could no longer hold his tears. He wrapped his hands around his friends, and thanked God for the friendship. That was the best engagement dinner ever held in the small town, with everyone singing ‘Give Thanks’ as a sign of gratitude and thanks to God as Roy lead them in singing.
